I'm craving the warm weather and the sunshine. This winter has been cold but not like it usually is. The warmer days we have in the winter just make me long for those spring days even more! Mother nature is teasing me.
Made from Dollar Tree supplies, these vases are an inexpensive way to spruce up your home for spring or summer. They are also great as beach decor or farmhouse style decor!
These DIY birch vases scream coastal and farmhouse to me. I love both so I'm excited to share these DIY Faux Birch Vases with you!
DIY Dollar Tree Faux Birch Vases
These vases are so easy to make. They only take a few supplies and you can get everything at the Dollar Tree. Costing less than $10, I think they turned out great.
- Dollar Tree Tall Vase Tall Cylinder
- Paint Brush
- Mod Podge
- Dollar Tree tissue paper pack (it has the birch and white in it along with a few other types)
How to make the birch vases:
Start by folding both the white and birch tissue paper in half. Then, starting from one end of the tissue paper, roll the vase on it so you know where to trim off the excess.
Apply a thin coat of mod podge to the vase and then apply the white tissue paper.
Once dry, apply a thin layer of mod podge on top of the white tissue paper and apply the birch tissue paper.
Don't worry about the crinkles, you can leave those in there so it looks more realistic.
Let it dry. Add another thin layer of mod podge on top of the birch layer to seal it.
Now, you can add any kind of flowers you want for decoration. I used blue and white but any color can be added to match your preference.
That's it! Easy right?
