Vanilla Cardamom Latte Recipe – Delicous and Easy

This Vanilla Cardamom Latte Recipe is not only delicious, but it’s also something that is extremely simple to make! It is one of my favorite cardamom recipes.

Vanilla Cardamom Latte

Looks delicious right?!

I’ve recently become a huge fan of espresso drinks (like this Maple Latte). I don’t know why I’ve never enjoyed expresso drinks before.

As I get older, I’ve noticed I’m slowly going back to trying things I didn’t like when I was a kid. Most of the time I end up enjoying them. Is that weird?

I didn’t know much about cardamom but had seen it in the stores quite a bit. I noticed it also started appearing on the local coffee shop menu. Since I kept seeing cardamom everywhere, I wanted to see what all the hubbub was about.

After some quick searching, I found out that cardamom actually has a lot of antioxidants. Another plus for enjoying a cardamom latte!

What is Cardamom

Cardamom is a spice that actually comes from plants in the ginger family. It has kind of a spicy, minty flavor with a hint of citrus. It’s a unique taste and strong aroma that can be hard to put your finger on unless you are familiar with cardamom.

You can ground up the cardamom or use it as a whole. Obviously, with coffee, you will want to use ground cardamom. It’s also used in a variety of different Indian recipes.

I did not know this but there are three kinds of cardamom. Green cardamom, which is probably what you see at the supermarket, is great for both sweet and savory dishes. White cardamom is just the bleached version of the green cardamom and isn’t as flavorful. Black cardamom is mainly used for more savory dishes because it has a smokey flavor to it.

Benefits of Cardamom

If the tasty flavor of cardamom isn’t enough to learn how to make a cardamom latte, maybe these health benefits will!

  • it can help fight inflammation
  • it may help lower blood pressure
  • it can help with digestive problems
  • cardamom pods are used as a breath freshener

This cardamom latte recipe has become one of my favorites, and it’s so stinking easy to make. It’s perfect for a nice pick me up or a great way to warm up on a cool fall day. The cardamom flavor just gives the cardamom latte an extra boost.

This vanilla cardamom latte recipe is also great to enjoy with your favorite breakfast muffins or fall dessert. (I’m kind of fond of this carrot cake and strawberry blueberry dessert).

If you are looking for a bit more coffee flavor with your dessert, this coffee caramel cake recipe is great too! But it’s versatile enough that it can be enjoyed while snacking on some pumpkin cookies.

Vanilla Cardamom Latte Ingredients

If you want a stronger coffee flavor, you can adjust the milk as necessary to get your favorite cardamom latte flavor.

How To Make A Cardamom Latte with Vanilla

In a cup, add the cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of the cardamon. Stir in the vanilla.

Brew the espresso with your espresso machine. I like this one because it’s easy to use.

Once you have your espresso brewed, pour it into the cup with the cinnamon mixture.

Froth the milk and pour on top of the espresso so that the cardamom latte recipe comes together.

Sprinkle the remaining cardamon on top for a little extra taste and to make the espresso look a little more pretty.

And now you can enjoy your delicious Vanilla Cardamom Latte!
