Easy Patriotic Drink for Summer (Red White and Blue 4th of July Punch)
This easy patriotic drink is a fun red white and blue color making it perfect for any 4th of July parties, Memorial Day, or any summer celebration.
This is a patriotic drink that is mainly for kids, but you can easily make it a fun 4th of July adult drink or a party punch that includes alcohol.
I love this patriotic punch because it can be used for a lot of different occasions or celebrations for both kids and adults.
It’s also a great red, white, and blue punch that you can serve at BBQs as well! If you are planning a BBQ, this homemade BBQ sauce we make is amazing!
We love using it as a 4th of July drink for kids but you can easily make it a fun 4th of July party drink just for the adults. Just be sure to label them so there is no mix-up.
I’ll list both the non-alcoholic version and the alcoholic version so that you have both handy when it comes time for the party. Both are super easy and only takes about 5 minutes or so to whip up.
Patriotic Non-ALCOHOLIC Drink Version
Ingredients:
- 1 packet blue-colored Kool-Aid, prepared
- 1 12-ounce bottle grenadine
Instructions:
- Fill your glasses with ice. We like to use these mason jar mugs. If serving as punch, fill a large punch bowl with ice.
- Pour the prepared Kool-Aid into the glasses.
- Top with grenadine.
Alcoholic Drink Version
Sometimes we call this the blue Kool-Aid alcoholic drink. It is basically the same recipe as above, but with a little kick to it and it’s made just for adults.
Ingredients:
- 1 packet of blue-colored Kool-Aid, prepared
- 1 12-ounce bottle grenadine
- Vodka (or you can also use any clear liquor you like)
Instructions:
- Fill the glasses with ice. We like to use these mason jar mugs. If serving as punch, fill a large punch bowl with ice.
- Pour the prepared Kool-Aid into the glasses.
- Add in a bit of Vodka to your taste preference.
- Top with grenadine.
That’s it! You can add these red and white straws to the glass to complete the look as shown in the picture. If you’re not hip on the red and white straws, these fun red, white, and blue straws or any straw works great!
Once the drink is finished, place it in the refrigerator so it gets nice and cold. No matter which way you serve it (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) it’s best served cold and with ice.
