Rainbow Coffee Filter Craft For Kids Easy Weather Spring Activity

This rainbow coffee filter craft is a fun activity for kids to do during the spring or St. Patrick’s Day.

Painted Rainbow Coffee Filter Craft

  • Coffee filter
  • Washable markers
  • Water
  • Paintbrush
  • Paper plate
  • Blue paint
  • Cotton balls
  • Glue

Instructions:

Fold the coffee filter in half, then in half again. Use the markers to color a rainbow on the coffee filter. The kids can get creative with their colors or use traditional rainbow colors.

Fill a small bowl with water and use the paintbrush to paint the water on the coffee filter.

Allow the coffee filter to dry completely, then unfold the coffee filter once so that it’s only folded in half.

While the coffee filter is drying, cut the paper plate in half, then paint one-half blue.

Allow the paper plate to dry completely. Once the paper plate is completely dry, glue the rainbow colored coffee filter to the top of the paper plate.

To finish the rainbow, glue cotton balls on the bottom of the coffee filter to look like clouds.
