Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients
  

  • 3 c beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried onion
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 package of dry Italian dressing mix 
  • 3-4 lbs chuck roast
  • ½ c chopped pepperoncini
  • ¼ c pepperoncini juice
  • 6 hoagie buns
  • sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Combine beef broth, salt,pepper, Italian seasoning, diced onion, parsley, garlic powder, Bay leaf, andItalian salad dressing mix in the crockpot,
  • Add the roast, chopped pepperoncini, andpepperoncini liquid
  • Cover and cook on low for approximately 8-10 hours or until the meat is easy to pull apart.
  • Remove the bay leaf and shred the meat with two forks or a mixer.
  • Serve on hoagie rolls. Add your favorite cheese and extra peppers if you'd like.
