I wanted to create a free printable game that would be easier for the younger kids, mainly for the toddler-aged kids that would be attending the 4th of July activities this year.

I did make up a fun patriotic activity pack for kids to work on during the 4th of July party, but one thing it was missing was a scavenger hunt!

However, the more I thought about it, the more I thought about it, the more I know it just needed a patriotic scavenger hunt to go with it.

I also decided we needed a fun 4th of July bingo game, so I created one of those to go with it.

Between the games we have planned, the patriotic printables, the delicious food, fireworks and playing in the water.. they shouldn’t get bored at all!

This scavenger hunt was created for toddlers or kids to play without having to read the words.

It has eight different things that kids can find throughout the day and night. Many of these were inspired by some cute 4th of July decorations we got from Amazon.

Items in a Patriotic Scavenger Hunt

  • a patriotic dessert
  • fireworks
  • a red white and blue hat
  • a patriotic star
  • patriotic balloons
  • red white and blue ice cream treats
  • an American Flag
  • a pair of patriotic sunglasses

Some of these may not be what you’d typically have around the house, but you can easily find some of these at your local dollar store.

They’re cheap supplies and they can be used for both the scavenger hunt and as party favors or treat for the kids to play with throughout the party.

Other Great Patriotic Printable Activities

Be sure to also print out the 4th of July BINGO cards (they’re free!) as well as some patriotic Tic Tac Toe for some extra fun at your fourth of July party.

If you are looking fun and festive 4th of July party decorations, these are a few of my favorite.

If you are crafty, you can also use it as a fun craft activity for the kids. For instance, if you get some patriotic crafting paper you can create the hat, sunglasses, and even the star.
